Today marks the end of another sketchbook, created during a historic time.
Sketchbook # 78
Full disclosure: I added the "Pandemic" treatment to the cover of the sketchbook today. The sketches and the daily notes do not, for the most part, reflect the onslaught of the pandemic and quarantine, but a few of my notes seem cryptic in retrospect:
March 16, 2020 "Third day of quarantine"
Mostly my attention is on my sketches and story ideas and not on the outside world, but sometimes little asides, creep in.
March 17, 2020 Daily Whip Outs
"Shelter In Place"
March 19, 2020 Daily Whip Outs
Of course, as the days wore on, the news got even worse.
Daily Whip Outs:
"Human Constructs Unraveling"
Still not sure where this is all going to end, but I'll keep on drawing.
Daily Whip Out Campfire Sketches:
"February 28, 2020"
Meanwhile, with my art and stories I keep moving along and the words of a certain Rough Rider ring true.
“Do what you can, with what you have, where you are."
—Teddy Roosevelt
