Eyes of A Killer And The Denial of A Printer

 March 2, 2021

Been hard at work on several things. One: trying to keep up with a puppy who likes to bite and rip up everything he finds. In spite of that, I've been having fun reclaiming old stuff, like this.

Daily Whip Out: "Eyes of A Killer"

Yes, I had a wild weekend, reworking a variety of half-finished, or, unsatisfying Whip Outs, like this one.

Daily Whip Out:
"Cave Creek Crooner Howls at Moon"

In the diaries of George Parsons—as I remember them—he takes the stage from Tucson to Tombstone and on the way out of the Old Pueblo, the stage line road runs parallel to the new tracks being laid to Benson that will eventually connect the entire country with the completion of the Southern Pacific Railroad. The grizzled-old stage driver scoffs and spits at this new fangled contraption and he dismisses it to Parsons by saying, "My passengers don't like traveling on the train. They say it gives them a headache."

Such foolish denial of a new world coming.

Daily Whip Out:

"Twilight of The Freighter"

I don't like reading stories on my phone. It gives me a headache.

   And so goes print.

"The Bell toils for thee."

  1. Actually, the fractured quote is originally from No Man Is An Island by poet and minister John Donne and first published around 1624.
