Who Is Calling Whom "Delusional"?

   Sometimes we go overboard. Or, more accurately, I go overboard. Especially on covers. You've already seen two other versions of the November cover of True West. Here's a third:

   Speaking of being delusional, I read with interest, that one of the Indigenous actors on "Killers of The Flower Moon" made a comment that Taylor Sheridan's "Yellowstone" is "Delusional! Deplorable!"

   Oh, really? Says who? How so?

   Lily Gladstone, a Native American actress (Blackfeet and Nimiipuu) who plays one of the Osage oil heiresses, Mollie Burkhart, in the Martin Scorsese film (see cover, above) criticizes the mythologized portrayal of the West in “Yellowstone,” but she does not fault any of the Native American actors for appearing on the show, adding, “No offense to the Native talent in that. I auditioned several times. That’s what we had.”

   Which begs the question, if she had gotten a part on "Yellowstone" would she be knocking the show now? Also, I'm sorry, but this is a little thin:

“It’s not a white savior story,” Gladstone said of the film to Vulture. “It’s the Osage saying, ‘Do something. Here’s money. Come help us.’”

   So, I assume an ethnic savior came in and helped them? Is J. Edgar Hoover ethnic? I know, I know, I'm being too hard on Lily and I'm sure she is probably going to be wonderful and it's going to be a very good movie. Somehow, I think Mel can put this all in perspective. Mel?
