Long trip to the Northwest yesterday. Got up at three in the morning to get to the airport for a two-and-a-half hour flight to Seattle. Everything went smoothly until our pilot tried to land at Sea-Tac in thick flog, he aborted the landing, swung round twice and attempted three landings, but finally pulled up and headed to Bellingham, Washington to get gas. Sat on the tarmac for more than an hour. Finally, we landed back at Sea Tac at one in the afternoon. A long day of travel, but we finally made it to our daughter's home to see the real stars of the journey.

Well good on you making the trip. Even with all the delays, it's well worthe the effort. And "slaps on the back" to the pilot who got you there SAFE ! I work one day a week at the Minnapolis Airport and I've seen every kind of messy situation, delays, passengers running for their lives before the doors close, and recently a last minute illness that ended up rushing the passenger to the nearby VA Hospital. ReplyDeleteJust got the latest mag, and read the news. All I can say is keep up the great work! If bi-monthly is what's needed to keep True West healthy, that's a hell of a lot better than the alternative of no True West. The fact you've been able to continuously put out the quality magazine you have at for so long is a testament to you and your staff. My prediction is True West will only get better...and you'll have more time for the Illustrated Life of Jesse James, not to mention that Mickey Free graphic. Wishing you all an inspiring 2024!!
