I have to honestly say, this is one of the most accurate (all the quotes are dead on) and authentic pieces ever done on me:

I did the interview last fall and forgot about it. It finally came out this week in Tucson Lifestyle magazine. As the piece quotes me, "'The 66 Kid' is a love letter to my hometown" and all the kids I grew up with. And one of the most legendary kids used to race his super stock Dodge on this lonely spot:

Of course, as any Kingman resident will tell you, the Stockton Hill drag strip starting line, that was so far out of town in 1959, is where the Kingman Regional Hospital is today. The entire length of the quarter mile is the center of the Hilltop business district. Ah, progress.
