Oh, the tiny details involving scanner subtleties! Here are two different scans of my latest art piece. Which one do you think is stronger?
Daily Whip Out: "Street Fighter"
Scan # one
Daily Whip Out: "Street Fighter"
scan # two
Is it my imagination, or does number two have a slightly more in depth dust effect? On the other hand, the number one scan has a more solid dust background.
Which one works better to your eye?

Scan # 1
ReplyDeletelook close enough to me
ReplyDeleteI like #2 best. It is very subtle but I think the slight bit o' khaki DOES look better for dust than the #1 orange background.
ReplyDeleteThey're both good but if I had to pick one I would say #1 is a little stronger
ReplyDeleteLittle off topic, but I know you like movies about the old west as I do. I'm not a big fan of most of the westerns being made in film now a days, but just saw one on NetFlix called Bandland. It sort of had that feel of the old westerns made for movies and TV and has a decent story line. It looked like it had a lot of interesting detail, like the high backed saddle on the horses and the weaponry. I found it interesting that Breecher (the main character) wore his revolvers in two places - across the chest and at his side. Was wondering if there is any documentation of this kind of dress? Not sure if you saw the movie but might be worth it to give it a look. Love your work and the magazine, of course. Al B. abaggetta@comcast.net
