A nice weeked at home. Been busy working on storms. Maybe one of these days we'll actually get a real one.
"Into the Final Storm"
The Kid rode out of Lincoln a free man, on Billy Burt's horse. It was clear to the south, but he reined north, heading right into the storm.
He could outrun the law but he couldn't outrun her heart.
The truth is not facts lined up. At least not in my third—and final—book on Billy the Kid.

Study: "Billy the Kid On Dandy Dick"

"Just what the world needs. Another book on Billy the Kid."
—My alma mater, The University of Arizona Press, rejecting my book proposal for "The Illustrated Life & Times of Billy the Kid" in 1991
