His Heart Is Missing
How can we empathize with Mickey? For starters he was constantly disrespected & dismissed as a mongrel dog. He was bullied and abused. He cried himself dry. He was broken in every way possible. And, yet, somehow, some way, he built a life and he left a family who loves him to this day. Why? Because Mickey made a promise to the Apache Kid.
And hope is a good thing.
