Johnny D. Boggs is a funny guy. He just turned in his column, Boggs Unleashed, for the November-December issue of True West and it's called, "Western Turkeys of The Year." Subhed: "Gobble, gobble goofs that will make you laugh."
Meghan showed me the layout and, for artwork, she found a stock photo of two turkeys facing each other and she wanted to know if that was sufficient to illustrate the piece. My two cents: I thought the turkeys should be saying something. She asked me what? I said, "Ask Johnny. It's his column and I'm sure he will come back with something funny."
He did.
Here's his suggestions. Personally, I think they're all funny, but given the scope of the article and being true to the piece, which one should we use?
"You will do foolish things, but do them with enthusiasm."
