Buckeye was actually there with Marilyn Monroe.
Buckeye Blake informs me he was an extra in "The Misfits" and he watched this scene being filmed. As he puts it, "I was 13, got $20 and a box lunch in Dayton, Nevada." Yes, the star crossed film was a strain on everyone, including Monroe's husband at the time, Arthur Miller, laughing there in the back, and, it must be noted, he wrote the screenplay. In fact, the experience ended their marriage. Filming was completed on November 4, 1960, twelve days before Clark Gable's death from a heart attack. He was only 59. Marilyn committed suicide on August 4, 1962, but Buckeye is still going strong. Why? The box lunch and the experience inspired him to be an artist.
Speaking of hats off, got this from Greg Scott down Nogales way.

Meanwhile, Dan the Man designed me a nice topper for my BozeCard rack.
And that topper will go on this rack.
Two for a buck? You can't beat that. Collect them all and look for both at the Scottsdale Museum of the West very soon.
