Here's a famous photo of Wyatt Earp standing next to a fancy car.I believe the photo first shows up in Stuart Lake's book Frontier Marshal. Some historians believe the touring car belonged to Western movie star William S. Hart (although it could have belonged to Tom Mix and we have a photo in the next issue showing Mix inside a fancy touring car). Both actors were fans of Earp and, according to Hart's son, his father had photos taken with Wyatt, but those photos are lost. It's possible Hart hired a photographer, or had a studio photographer accompany him, and that's how this photograph came to be. We really don't know.
