Grand Changes On The Road to Artistic Minimalism

 October 17, 2025

One humid afternoon in July I had a dream. A jagged walking stick for my morning walks to protect Uno from aggressive packs of Cave Creek coyotes. Well, thanks to Buckeye Blake who hand carved it, here we are ready for action.

A Custom Made Whip Out From BB
(Buckeye Blake)

A day off! What will I do with it? Perhaps clean the garage? Perhaps write an original story? Or, maybe, just maybe, do some whip outs for fun.

What happens when you stop short on underlayers and then subtly add a rider? This happens. . .

Daily Whip Out: "Mystic Tracker"

Two weeks ago at the museum, longtime Valley photographer, Bob Rink, gifted me a packet of photos he took of the Jones, Boze & Jeanne Radio Show on KSLX back in the day. I think these are from a $10,000 scavenger hunt the station put on and one of the items you needed was a photo with us at a new bar near Metrocenter.

Jeanne, David K and BBB

(not sure why, but David doesn't look happy)

Jeanne schmoozes, Gordon Smith

whips out a Zany tune and Flint Carney goes all In-din on us.

"And that's the news from smack dab in the middle of the West's most midwestern town!"

KSLX Studios, at the Safari Resort, where we met after I'd followed your work for almost two decades. Glad to have made your acquaintance, Bob!
