We are launching a Billy the Kid Film Festival at the Scottsdale Museum of The West to coincide with our Resurrection of Billy the Kid art show. This afternoon, I introduced the first Young Guns film and I got this little tidbit from the guy who created the franchise:
How Emilio Morphed Into Billy
"During prep for the film, I took Emilio on a road trip (just us) from Santa Fe to Lincoln, Ruidoso, and other landmarks along the way. All through the road trip, he picked my brain and had me talk him through both the screenplay and my research. In Lincoln, Emilio had me leave him alone for a day while he went incognito and wandered the nooks and crannies. I always say that I drove to Lincoln with Emilio Estevez, but drove back with William Bonney."
