Jason Strykowski and I left Cave Creek this morning at seven, bound for Ouray, Colorado. Arrived ten hours later, driving across the Navajo res and thru Cortez and Durango, Silverton.

Big party here tonight with Angie Dickinson, Kim Darby and Johnny Crawford (the kid on The Rifleman). Big festival tomorrow in Ridgeway for True Grit Days. Lots of movie talk, met local ranchers and cowboys. My kind of deal. More later.
