On The Road to Zafra

We left Sevilla, Spain yesterday heading north by car into Extremadura in search of the Conquistadors and Cowboy Ground Zero. Traveling without reservations we took the turn to Zafra, a small ranching community of about 5,000 and landed at a Parador (an old Roman castle converted into a hotel). As I type this a drum and bugle corp are marching toward us. We can hear their martial cadence get closer and closer but we can't see them, yet.
