 June 7, 2026

When you are young, you sometimes dream of living in a different time.

It was out of that rich fantasy life, that I ended up in a more fantastic reality.

Random Pages From 178 Sketchbooks

The History of Really Bad Daily Whip Outs
How hard is it to do six bad drawings a day? Well, it's actually harder than it looks. But if you pay attention I can teach you how to do the Loosie Goosie and create art that is beyond your skill set.

Yes, Frankfurt is misspelled on that airport page from 2017

    I know what you're thinking.

"Hey, Boze, you went through all those sketchbooks and picked out pages where you actually appear to know what you are doing."

   Yes, and your point is?

"Well, let's see some really weak whip outs."

   Okay, here you go:

(leaving for Iguazu Falls)

One of my goals when I step down as editor at True West in December is to put all of this bad-boy bad-drawing work towards a more cohesive narrative. I am going to create graphic stories that tell the truth about the West we love so much. And the only way to do that, is to make it fiction.
Hey, I have done my time doing factual history. It's time to loosen up and create some new Western stories with style and wit. Wish me luck.
