Faded Secrets come Into Focus

 July 19, 2026

For quite some time now, I have had this burning desire to emulate old, faded photographs and to somehow put them into a graphic narrative that would pay off at the end of the story.

And by "pay off" I mean that sometimes what you cannot see is more powerful than the perfect clarity of good images. What if, as the story develops, a faded, detail challenged image, like the one above, somehow, comes slightly more into focus and we eventually see who the killer actually was?

Seems like a zany, obvious extension of "The Rest of The Story" or "Fractured Fairy Tales."

On a related note, I am still obsessed with the theme of the lone kitchen light and have these two passes to prove it.

Meanwhile, sometimes we know the fix is in. .  .

Daily Whip Out: "Everybody Knows"

"Everybody knows that the dice are loaded
Everybody rolls with their fingers crossed
Everybody knows the war is over
Everybody knows the good guys lost
Everybody knows the fight was fixed
The poor stay poor, the rich get rich
That’s how it goes
Everybody knows"
