Much calmer in our chicken coop after Betsy The Chicken Lady and Tom Augherton had a rooster rodeo a couple days ago and carted off four of my five roosters. Lost two hens from over use if you know what I mean and I think you do.

Speaking of Coyote Pass west of Beale Springs and Kingman, Arizona, I want to illustrate Jack Kerouac and Neal Cassaday plowing through the back roads of America and on one of their many trips they are driving a 1947 Hudson, I believe it is. Found this old photo on the cover of a new book—"History Along The Way: Stories Beyond The Texas Roadside Markers" by Dan Utley and Cynthia Beeman:
Besides the great service station in the background—Bob's Oil Well—and the two babes on the front fender, is this, in fact a Hudson? I'm not too good on those forties rides. Thanks.
