Trains On The Brain

August 10, 2014
It all started with trains. My father always told the story of me coming to him when I was very little and asking him to draw a train for me. He would sketch out a crude version of a train, but as he told it, I soon got frustrated when his trains didn't have the right perspective. Thought about that old family story when I found this in the garage this weekend:

Daily Whipout: "The Last of The Steam Engines Pulling Grade Near Valentine"

Last night I had dinner with Paul and Tracy Hutton and Paul's daughter Lorena, who is on her way to Tucson for Law School. We ate at The Oceans Club at Kierland Commons and had a grand old time.

Paul and I are scheming on a TV series and we're planning a road trip to LA next month to pitch a certain director we know.
