Remember: at the Triple B Studio when it comes to art, we will not be undersold!

February 3, 2024

Do you perhaps have a friend that has a hard time accepting gifts from you? Does this person drive you crazy with their integrity? Well, if you do, you can understand my frustration with this wonderful woman who absolutely will not take any of my artwork as a token of appreciation for what she has always done for me over many years—which is everything! I don't want to embarrass her by saying her name but it rhymes with Garole Gompton.

Last week she inquired of a painting she was interested in and when I told her she could have it, she declined, and said she insisted on paying for it. So, in frustration, I said, okay, it's $47.50. I just pulled that All Things Must Go! number out of my rectum, but when I said it out loud, I kind of liked it. It made me laugh because it's absurd. It's the antithesis of "Art," with a capital A. So, from there, I landed on this nifty slogan:

Remember: at the Triple B Studio when it comes to art, we will not be undersold!

I like this because it means almost everyone can afford a BBB Daily Whip Out, and believe me, there are enough to go around. Like this one:

Daily Whip Out: "Marty Robbins In Action"

$47.50

Daily Whip Out: "Virgil In Smoke"

$47.50 Sold to Garole Gompton

Daily Whip Out:
"A Trail Riders Musical Fruit Regret"

$47.50

You get the idea. So, after this ridiculous Garage sale is over, a whole bunch of people are going to get to say with a straight face, when someone says, "Is that a Bob Boze Bell original? What did you pay for that," a whole bunch of people are going to get to say, "Man, that set me back $47.50!" Thanks Garole Gompton for the great idea!

"I think the Tom Mix story has taken hold of you, and we readers are all the better for it- so thank you! But this is the life you created for yourself, able to carry yourself off on many a historical journey. You are a blessed man, and certainly seem to be enjoying the ride! Many people never take the chance at creating their own luck, and many more don't have the spousal support to carry it through. We're all speeding towards a dry wash somewhere, it's the time between that matters. Tom Mix created the life he wanted too, and his tragic end was an exclamation point to an adventurous life. I imagine as he floated away, he said with a grin…well, I never saw that comin'."
