I'm trying to avoid the 9/11 tributes, teeth gnashing, gender blaming ad nauseum commemorative blabbing, but it's hard.
It's A Small, Small, Smaller World, After All
"I have just discovered True West and will be subscribing shortly. I already have "True Tales and Amazing Legends" a good read and excellent photos. I read the interview with you in 'To the point' [my editorial in the magazine] I thought I was the only person who was an uncompromising critic of Hollywood's interpretation of the old west.
" I am also a 'Hat Nazi' and about every thing else they get wrong, casting, locations, collarless shirts is another one and as for regional variations in tack and outfits that are never explored...well!!! But when the odd scene is, almost spot on, a joy to watch.
"I cowboy'd in Colorado and Arizona in my younger days and have had a long time fascination for the Old West and not many people here, (none actually!) understand my rants. Thanks for your time."

So I Emailed Gary back and asked him where he found True West and where "here" is. Here's his reply:
"I found out about True West through the internet, after I bought the book, 'True Stories' from Amazon. 'Here' is Swansea, South West Wales in the UK."
