Weird Historical Connection: Turns out a Mojave chief's son, who lived where Needles, California now stands, demanded Olive Oatman return certain beads and trinkets when she returned to "polite society." It was on this date, April 10, 1992, that shock comic Sam Kinison was killed by a drunk driver outside Needles, on his way to a gig in Laughlin. Kinison was famous for a breakup bit where he screamed, "I want my records back!"
