My mention of "The Big Sombrero" Western yesterday and the possibility of it being filmed at the White Stallion Guest Ranch brought this response:
"The Big Sombrero" Shooting Locations
Corriganville, Ray Corrigan Ranch, Simi Valley, California, USA
Monogram Ranch, Newhall, California, USA
Rancho Maria - 25933 Sand Canyon Road, Canyon Country, California, USA
Red Rock Canyon State Park, Cantil, California, USA
near, Tucson, Arizona, USA
Thanks to Steve Lodge, who, of course, found it online. Amazing. I predict a major growth industry for someone who can figure out how to keep private information off the web. I know I would pay extra not to see the ads that are smothering most sites, but I don't know how you would eliminate GPS directions to anyone's house in the world. There's a great cartoon in the new New Yorker that shows a barber holding a gadget over a customer's head, sayinig, "Would you like to see the top on Google Earth?"
Ha.
Yesterday I whipped out my 4,860th sketch, @ six a day, without missing. Closing in on the half-way mark of 5,000. When I go back and look at different sketchbooks I can see my moods. Very interesting. I wonder if any other artists have had this insight?
