Just Scratching The Surface

   When someone isn't living up their potential, people are fond of saying, "He hasn't even scratched the surface." 

   Well, for the past week I have been scratching the surface every day, literally.

Daily Whip Out: "Mestizo Girl"

Daily Whip Out:

"Old Fang With The Crooked Mouth"

   As I get in the rhythm of doing these, they start to flow:

Daily Whip Out: "Zapata's Guy"

   And, of course, sometimes they end up where I didn't expect:

Daily Whip Out: "Tig Notaro Is Not Happy"

   And sometimes the idea is good, but the execution is lacking:

Daily Whip Out: "Ojos In Shadow"

   Okay, scratch that one. 

Daily Whip Out: "Border Banditos"

And sometimes I revert to color, gouache with tinges of felt-tip pens:

Daily Whip Out: "Ojos de Gringo Smiles"

   Got a lot done, got a lot more to do.
