This Just In On The Newsstand Wars

March 4, 2019
Last Saturday I went down to Desert Ridge to check out the newsstand wars.

We are being pushed out of the center position by SIPs (special interest publications) and, by my count, there are six decks of history related titles, in the lower and top shelves.

So I bought some titles that I feel are making waves, or seemed to be interesting subject matter that our readers might like.

I bring these to our Design Review meetings and my first question is: what do they know that we don't know?

The interesting thing about the top row, above, is that the first two titles have the same content. Both are published by Brits and printed in Dubai. One is sold as a book (the middle title) and the other one as a SIP ($19.95).

Meanwhile, I'm still noodling images for my graphic novel.
