June 4, 2007 Bonus Blog
Working on The Battle of Big Dry Wash for the next Classic Gunfight. A big fight between Apaches and U.S. Army scouts and troops, featuring Al Sieber in all his bloody glory. Just called the Camp Verde Historical Society and they told me the guy I need to contact is Dr. Sam Palmer, who allegedly can tell me everyone who was there that day and give me a first class tour. Perfect. It's funny, there is always one person who has dedicated themselves to one of these fights and they are a walking encylopedia. Can't wait to go out to the site, which is up on the Mogollon Rim, northeast of Payson.

Now, if only my AOL would load. I've heard that it's a Mac problem. AOL didn't bother to include Macs in their upgrade. Disgusting really.

Here's a couple photos from last weekend. On Friday we all went to Chompies for deli sandos. Tomas and I both had New Yorkers on rye, our fave deli sandwich. They really pile on the pastrami. And as one of Thomas Charle's favorite comedians puts it:

Server: "Do you need anything else, sir?"

Customer: "Yes, a loaf of bread and four more people."

Here's Deena and her boyfriend Frank, from Rhode Island:

They are in Aruba this week. And here's Tomcat and his pals (below) in the BBB suite on Saturday night. Lef to right, Rachel, Monica, Blair, Bob and Tomas:
