We had a Design Review meeting this morning and went over cover ideas for the next issue. We are deadlocked on these final two subjects and we need your help. If you were walking by the newsstand which cover would you be more likely to buy?
#1: Olive Oatman cover
#2: Fake Billys cover
The Blue Tattoo for sure. What a story!!
ReplyDeleteGot to Olive I think. Give her the attention she deserves
ReplyDeleteTattoos, every time

ReplyDelete#1: Olive Oatman cover
ReplyDeleteDefinitely "The Girl with the Blue Tattoo." The subject matter for "Fake Billys" is intriguing (I'm just now writing a children's book about the Kid!), but the photo is unappealing to me. The tattoo cover has more newsstand "sizzle."
ReplyDeleteOlive's story!
ReplyDeleteBilly

ReplyDeleteBlue tattoo!
ReplyDeleteI'm a huge Billy guy, but I DO believe it's a touch over done.
ReplyDelete+1 Vote for Olive!
If people are not familiar with the Olive Oatman story they might just pass it by, but there have been National News stories on the high prices paid for Old West photographs. I would buy it with either cover and look forward to the next issue.
ReplyDeleteOlive's story please..
ReplyDeleteThe blue tatto
ReplyDeleteOlive !
ReplyDeleteOlive by a mile!
ReplyDeleteOlive, please.
ReplyDeleteOlive for sure.
ReplyDeleteOlive definately. Billy has been done to death, give it a break.

ReplyDeleteOlive and the tattoos.
Delete1, Olive, Girl with blue tattoo.
ReplyDeleteAny BTK photo would sell more on the Newstand but that ain’t Billy. So I would go with the blue tattoo.
ReplyDeleteOlive for the cover, although I'd like to read the Billy story.
ReplyDeleteOlive. I'm all Billyed out.
ReplyDeleteOlive, except the subtitle about children reads like tabloid fodder.
ReplyDeletegiddy-up on #1
ReplyDeleteOlive Oatman story is my choice!

ReplyDeleteOlive....The eyes grab you.
ReplyDeleteUnless there is an amazing new provable discovery about Billy the Kid, I vote for Olive.
ReplyDeleteOlive for sure. I'm pretty much over Billy for the moment. Give me something I can learn from.
ReplyDeleteOlive for sure!!
ReplyDeleteOlive in the March issue, Billy in April.
ReplyDeleteOlive Oatman, please.
ReplyDeleteLooking at it from a business point of view I'd go with Billy. Olive is an equally interesting part of history, but Billy is box office.
ReplyDeleteLike someone said above, whichever you pick I'm buying it.
