Old Man Prophecy, Jailhouse Flowers And Huerta In Red

April 4, 2020
Another beautiful day on the great Sonoran Desert. Watered this morning and all the succulents appreciated it immensely.

Jailhouse Flowers

Full Disclosure: that middle building with the bars on the windows is actually our well pump house disguised to look like a jailhouse. Thanks to my Kingman Cowboy Cousin Craig Hamilton for making it so, many moons ago (1989).

Still pushing the idea of campfire lighting and this morning I came up with these fireside cats.

"Viejo Campfire Prophecy"

Meanwhile, the Mexicans called him The El Chacal (The Jackal) and he had blood on his hands, literally.

"Huerta's Bloody Fist"

In my story, these guys will be the heroes.

Daily Whip Out: "Rurales On The Move"

Of course, some of these Rurales were definitely not heroes, but then, what exactly is a hero?

"I won't say a hero, 'cause what's a hero?' But sometimes. . .sometimes, there's a man, well, he's the man for his time and place."
