February 25, 2020
Taking stock of my Mexico journey. Here are my sketchbook pages where you can see my thought process.

Daily Whip Outs: "Avoiding Writing"

Daily Whip Outs: "Campfire Tales"

Daily Whip Outs: "Dodging A Bullet"

Daily Whip Outs:
"Home Is Where I Hang My Hat"

So, there you have it. A typical arc on a typical week on the road in Mexico.

"The old man was good enough to hook the big fish, but he wasn't strong enough to reel it in."
—Robert Towne, on the theme of "The Old Man & The Sea" by Ernest Hemingway

  1. I wonder if anyone has considered a criminal conspiracy of 'moving'cattle from TEXAS to Cal via AZ and New Mexico? Utilizing such people as John Chisum, Colonel Hatch,Texas John Slaughterer, Col Henry Hooker and others for an Army contract for beef.
Also you can add Solomon Barth of St. Johns, possibly Nash, Lafayette of Strawberry whom utilized political pressure to force Governor Zulick for an early pardon for Knox Lee, John Behan of Territorial Prison ( missing about $10,000 never recovered) and finally the premeditated murder of Andres Moreno at Baker Butte.
We understood the 'Cowboys' in southern Arizona, Tombstone in particular were stealing from Mexico with Clanton family assistance and the Santa Fe 'Ring' using BTK as the scape goat ? Everything covered but the Earps...later.

    Best Wishes,
    C.B. Sawyer
