Walt Disney Inspires Us All

   Wyatt Earp lived here, as did Maynard Dixon and Edsel Ford Fong. That's enough to make me a fan of San Francisco. It's a cool town, in more ways than one. I'm wearing a sweatshirt and it's nippy—in August!

   Kathy and I took the bus out to the Presidio, this morning, to see the Walt Disney Family Museum. Excellent presentation on his long, and surprisingly dymanic career.

   Taking in the various episodes of his life, I totally related to his compadres and their search for the sweet spot:

      The displays and the animation are just the best. No surprise here.

   A young kid at the Beat Museum, named Niko, recommended a book, "Neal Cassady Collected Letters, 1944-1967" and i'm reading it here on the third floor of an 1890s girl's boarding school—turned boutique hotel—at the top of Nob Hill. The book contains much insight into the song, "The Rambler," the TV show "Route 66" and all things James Dean. Of course, Neal inspired, first and foremost, this cat:
