Cowboy Sign Spoofin' And Checkerboard Women

 August 15, 2021

Grabbing some details, leaving out some details. Always the running dilemma for the discerning, conflicted, pathetic artist in training, to ponder.

Speaking of running jokes. . .

Cowboy Sign Spoofin'

I know some cowboys who are damn funny. What's even funnier is when they are on a runnin' drunk, like these Nevada cowboys, who jumped out of their pickups to mock this roadside sign.

This is circa, 1975, 100% alcoholic, cowboy humor and that's Buckeye Blake in the center ducking the lowest. Like a true cowboy he won't name the others.

Still On The Checkerboard Hunt

I have this vision of a checkboard background of Wild Western Women to cover the waterfront, as they say in Mixing Metaphors Land.

Daily Whip Outs: "Checkerboard Women #2"

Did the original sketches in our cabin in Greer, then washed them up when I got home.

"Expensive" is dry, tough, charred and rather gauche???

    Is it better with ketchup?
