I was in the corral on October 26, 1981. That was for the centennial. Now here we are coming up on the 140th anniversary of the gunfight behind the O.K. Corral. A whole lot of water has churned under that bridge.

I certainly think he’s a hero, of the old west. If he’s not, who is? As they say “When you have to choose between history and legend, print the legend” it’s been great fun for me trying to learn both!

Next to the Cowboys gang, Wyatt, brothersVirgil and Morgan, along with Doc Holliday, were a band of angels. The Cowboys terrorized both sides of the border with their robbing, rustling, and rampaging. Their bloody deeds were not good for business in Tombstone, and I took the Earps and Holliday to finally tame that town.
In today’s upside down world, cops are the bad guys and robbers are the good ones. Cops are handcuffed while criminals go free. Law and order has been thrown out the window as cops have been thrown under the bus. There are gunfights in the streets of major cities. Washington D.C. has become like Dodge City.
If ever there was a time for Wyatt Earp, it is now. Poor Wyatt must be turning over in his grave.
